Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Teacher in Special Education (SESES) at Eastern Middle School. The teacher provides direct instruction and supports IEP development for students with disabilities, working closely with the general education teacher to deliver inclusive instruction.

The role requires knowledge of MCPS curriculum, differentiation, data collection and compliant with ESSA/IDEA regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in special education required.
• Student teaching in the area of exceptionality or two years teaching experience.
• Certification in a content area is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and instructional support to students with disabilities.
• Monitor and evaluate outcomes for students with disabilities and assist in IEP development.
• Collaborate with the general education teacher to support inclusion.
• Attend required meetings and activities outside instructional day per MCPS policy.
