Job summary

Valley Catholic Middle School in Beaverton, OR is seeking a Long-Term Spanish Teacher Substitute for a planned faculty leave. Four sections of 7th Grade Spanish and continuation of the established curriculum are expected.

The position offers $31.00 per hour as the standard substitute teacher rate. Valley Catholic Middle School provides medical, dental, life and disability insurance, EAP, and employer retirement contributions. Background check and US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon Teaching License or ability to obtain one.
• Spanish language proficiency appropriate for middle school instruction.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Ability to step into an established program with confidence and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Implement curriculum and lesson plans.
• Maintain continuity of instruction throughout the leave period.
• Foster student engagement and language confidence.
• Assess student progress and maintain records.
