Job summary

The Lombard Elementary District 44 is seeking a Long-Term Substitute to cover a Middle School Spanish class starting January through the remainder of the school year. The position reports to the Building Principal and is focused on providing classroom coverage for an absent certified staff member.

Compensation starts at $140 per day for days 1–30 and increases to $200 per day from day 31 onward. Responsibilities include following lesson plans, planning, student evaluation, and maintaining

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License or Substitute Teaching License.

Responsibilities

• Assumes duties of absent teacher and covers lessons as provided.
• Plans, organizes, evaluates students, and reports grades.
• Maintains routines and supervises students throughout the day.
• Uses classroom technology appropriately and adheres to district policies.
• Communicates with parents as appropriate.
