Qualifications

• Must possess and retain an NYS Certified License as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Knowledge of a variety of disabilities and their effects on language.
• Certified, trained, or experienced in Adaptive Behavioral Analysis (ABA).
• Strong understanding of Federal & State mandates for students with disabilities.
• Ability to develop intervention plans and goals for communication needs.
• Experience with IEP writing, data collection, and reporting mandates.

Responsibilities

• Act as long-term substitute for a single teacher for 21–89 consecutive days.
• LTS pay begins on the first day of assignment; pay reverts to per diem after assignment ends.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team and service providers for intervention scheduling.
• Remain flexible to emergent classroom situations and maintain effective communication with students, parents and staff.
