• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with parents and staff.
• Refer students with suspected disabilities according to building/district protocol.
• Provide screening programs for children.
• Conduct evaluations of children; interpret findings to parents, teachers and other school personnel, through conferences and written reports.
• Participate in the identification and placement of students with disabilities.
• Recommend academic and behavior interventions.
