Job summary

Eight Eleven Group seeks a Public Health Communication Coordinator for a Nashville-based, long-term contract role. The position is hybrid (1 day in office per week) and reports to the Director of Communication, focusing on planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating external communications for public health programs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in communications or public health and 4–6 years of experience, with strong writing, stakeholder engagement, and ADA accessibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communication, advertising, PR, or public health.
• 4–6 years of experience in communication/PR in corporate, government, or public health.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
• Experience applying ADA Title II and digital accessibility standards.
• Tennessee residency required.
• Ability to respond rapidly during public health emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate external communication strategies, projects, and initiatives.
• Coordinate advertising and marketing plans with leadership and subject matter experts to raise program awareness.
• Serve as a communication liaison to ensure consistent messaging across channels.
• Produce collateral: fact sheets, brochures, social content, presentations, and reports.
• Plan and promote public health campaigns and community outreach efforts.
• Coordinate with staff, partners, contractors to develop materials.
• Provide communication consultation with tailored outreach strategies.
• Ensure accessibility and ADA compliance across materials.
• Respond rapidly during public health emergencies.
