Job summary

Seward Community Health Center in Seward, AK seeks a long-term PRN Nurse Practitioner to staff our clinic. Ability to work 10-hour shifts to cover vacations and CME leave is required.

This position provides urgent and chronic care across ages with opportunities to use Epic and to collaborate with a dedicated care team. Shared housing is available; Alaska license is required at interview.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or equivalent level of care.
• Professional license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner with current Alaska license at time of interview.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries and conditions.
• Provide urgent/walk-in care during some same day appointments.
• Carry out basic primary medical care procedures (e.g., casting and suturing).
• Develop treatment and follow-up plans; educate patients about diagnosis and care.
