Job summary

Delsea Regional School District is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and collaborative Special Education Teacher to serve students in a middle school multiple disabilities classroom. The role focuses on individualized, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate instruction that supports complex needs.

The teacher will develop IEPs, differentiate instruction, collaborate with related service providers, and monitor progress while maintaining compliant records.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be licensed in special education or able to obtain certification.
• Experience planning and implementing IEP goals for students with multiple disabilities.
• Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning and communication needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs aligned with academic, functional, and social-emotional goals.
• Provide differentiated instruction using evidence-based practices for multiple disabilities.
• Collaborate with speech, OT/PT, psychologists, nurses, and paraprofessionals.
• Support and supervise paraprofessionals in the classroom.
• Use assistive tech and adaptive equipment to support access and engagement.
• Monitor progress and maintain documentation in compliance with laws.
• Foster a safe, structured learning environment and effective family communication.
• Participate in IEP meetings, planning, and professional development.

Delsea Regional School District is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and collaborative Special Education Teacher to serve students in a middle school multiple disabilities classroom. The ideal candidate is committed to providing individualized, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate instruction that supports students with complex learning, physical, and communication needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with students' academic, functional, and social-emotional goals
• Provide differentiated instruction using evidence-based practices tailored to students with multiple disabilities
• Collaborate with related service providers (speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, school psychologists, nurses, and paraprofessionals)
• Manage and support paraprofessionals within the classroom setting
• Use assistive technology and adaptive equipment to support student access and engagement
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal special education regulations
• Foster a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
• Communicate regularly and effectively with families and caregivers
• Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and professional development activities

Salary: $175/day
