Job summary

Hmong College Prep Academy (HCPA) is a Title I Charter School serving students in grades K-12. The Long-Term In-House Substitute Teacher for Middle School Health will instruct students in grades 6-8, creating a flexible, engaging environment and delivering instruction across core subjects to build a solid foundation for further education.

Qualifications

• Active 5-12 Health License in Minnesota.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Experience using differentiated instruction approaches.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to curriculum and lesson plans; cover long-term absence with lesson planning, grading and records.
• Provide instruction in core curriculum areas and use instructional resources effectively.
• Support standards and district/school goals; implement relevant objectives.
• Evaluate student performance and maintain required records; report to principal as needed.
• Perform classroom management duties and ensure appropriate disciplinary actions.
• Utilize data to tailor instruction and monitor progress; engage families as needed.
