Deer River High School is seeking a dedicated Long Term Substitute Physical Education Teacher to maintain the continuity of the PE curriculum and ensure meaningful activity during the regular teacher’s absence. The ideal candidate will understand PE principles, manage classrooms effectively, and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.

The position runs from November 23, 2026 to December 18, 2026, with duties including delivering engaging lessons, assessing progress, and maintaining

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or related field.
• State-approved Physical Education teaching certification or license.
• Experience teaching Physical Education at high school level preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PE principles, fitness concepts, and health education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
