The Essex County Schools of Technology seeks a Long Term Chemistry Teacher for Payne Tech for the 2026-27 school year. Under the principal's supervision, the teacher will foster understanding of chemical concepts through engaging lessons, labs, and inquiry while promoting critical thinking and real-world applications.

The candidate will deliver instruction, maintain safety in the lab, and assess student progress, collaborating with staff to align with NJ standards and district goals.

Competenze

• Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility.
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status.
• Must be resident of New Jersey or attain residency within one year unless exempted under the law.
