Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced coursework or training in education is preferred.
• 3-5 years elementary age experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction in literacy and mathematics to various group sizes.
• Implement teacher-designed lesson plans, activities, and assessments.
• Monitor student growth using assessment tools to inform instruction.
• Provide targeted academic interventions to meet grade-level benchmarks.
• Collaborate with lead teachers to innovate and improve instruction.
• Reinforce classroom expectations and apply effective management strategies.
• Support self-regulation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
• Step in for the lead teacher when needed and keep records of progress.
• Foster a safe, inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Participate in meetings, curriculum development, and professional growth.
• Collaborate with faculty, specialists, and administrators to support students.
• Maintain professional communication with families and attend events.
• Fulfill supervisory duties (recess, lunch, arrival/dismissal).
• Attend key school events such as Back-to-School Night and performances.
• Exhibit professionalism, punctuality, and reliability; perform other duties as assigned.
