Perrysburg Exempted Village School District is seeking an Anticipated Long Term Substitute Elementary Music Teacher starting in October for the remainder of the school year. The candidate must hold a valid Ohio teaching or substitute license and will follow prepared lesson plans, teach scheduled classes, and maintain student records.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio teaching or substitute license or certificate
• Documentation of a clear criminal record with evidence from BCI and FBI
• Self-directed and able to learn quickly
• Professional tact, diplomacy and presentation
• Conscientious and assumes responsibility for own work performance
• Good health, high moral character and good attendance record
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and a sincere desire to aid all students

Responsibilities

• Follows teacher's written lesson plans. Consults with the principal and/or staff to resolve questions and concerns.
• Teaches scheduled classes. Prepares a written summary of work completed. Makes the absent teacher aware of special situations or problems encountered.
• Implements effective pupil management procedures. Maintains high standards and upholds student conduct code.
• Develops and maintains a positive learning environment. Stimulates student interest.
• Varies instructional techniques to address individual learning styles.
• Provides guidance, communicates high expectations, and shows an active interest in student groups.
