• Assignment dates: August 31, 2026 through approximately mid-November 2026
• Salary and benefits according to placement on the Midview Education Association teacher salary schedule and dependent upon qualifications and experience, as applicable
• Posting date: June 18, 2026
• Vacancy is for a temporary leave of absence during the 2026-2027 school year

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio School Counselor License or the ability to obtain appropriate licensure required
• Previous experience as a school counselor preferred
• Experience working with intermediate-aged students preferred
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, staff, and community agencies
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsPrior work records must demonstrate good work habits, excellent attendance, and positive evaluations
• Ability to provide clear BCI/FBI background checks free of disqualifying convictions

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group counseling services to students
• Assist students with academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and outside agencies to support student success
• Participate in intervention planning and student support team meetings
• Respond appropriately to student crises and provide necessary referrals
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal
