Job summary

PharMerica in Albuquerque, NM is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician for a non-retail, long-term care environment. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for growth within a growing company.

You will fill prescriptions, assist with compounding, manage inventory, and support onboarding. The schedule is Tue–Sat, 8am–5pm, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer and identify medications.
• Detail oriented with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Accurately label products with cautions and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications including non-sterile compounding.
• Enter patient data into computer systems to generate labels.
• Assist with inventory management and handling returns per protocol.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Support onboarding and training of new staff.
• Operate automated machines to prepack medications and manage IV room tasks.
• Service facility-based dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow).
