Job summary

PharMerica is hiring a Pharmacy Technician in Virginia for a full-time, on-site role. You will fill prescriptions, label products, prepare medications, and enter data into the system while supporting inventory and customer communications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Accurately label products, including cautions and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications, including non-sterile compounding.
• Enter patient and prescription data into the system to generate labels.
• Assist with inventory management and handling returned medications.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Assist with onboarding and training new staff.
• Operate Narcotics room and automated dispensing machines.
• Mix IV medications and sanitize IV room/equipment.
