Job summary

PharMerica is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our non-retail, closed-door pharmacy team in Worthington, OH. You will support long-term care and senior living clients, handling prescription processing, packaging, labeling, and inventory management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state laws.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Accurately label products with appropriate cautions and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications, including non-sterile compounding (liquids, powders, ointments).
• Enter patient and prescription data into the computer system to generate labels.
• Assist with inventory management and removal of expired medications.
• Handle returned medications per protocol (credit or destruction).
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Assist onboarding and training of new pharmacy staff.
• Work in the narcotics room and operate automated prepacking machines.
• Mix IV medications and sanitize IV room/equipment.
