PharMerica in Milwaukee, WI is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician in a non-retail, closed-door setting dedicated to meeting the pharmaceutical needs of long-term care and senior living clients. You will fill prescriptions, label products, prepare medications, and enter data into the computer system to generate labels while supporting inventory management and patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer and recognize medications.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Label products accurately with cautionary and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications including non-sterile compounding.
• Enter patient and prescription data into the computer system to generate labels.
• Assist with pharmacy inventory management and handling returns per protocol.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Assist with onboarding and training new staff.
• Operate automated machines to prepack medications and manage IV room tasks.
• Servicing facility-based dispensing machines as needed.
