Job summary

PharMerica in Albuquerque, NM is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Order Entry Technician to join our closed-door pharmacy team serving long-term care and senior living clients. You will enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with high accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with accuracy.
• Perform basic drug calculations and dose conversions.
• Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials and perform follow-up actions.
• Stay current with Medicaid claim regulations and ensure compliance.
• Track unpaid or delayed claims and generate reports for management.
• Provide excellent customer service in line with company values.
• Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under Pharmacist supervision.
• Support additional pharmacy tasks and operations as directed by management.
