Job Summary: Full-Time Activities Coordinator at Legacy Square
Henderson Health Care Services (HHCS) is a full-service Critical Care Hospital, Long Term Care, and Family Clinic serving the communities of Henderson & Sutton, NE. We are a professional, fast-paced, and collaborative team committed to providing top-tier healthcare to our patients while maintaining a family-based culture. We are seeking a Full-Time Activities Coordinator to join the team at Legacy Square, our long-term care facility in Henderson, Nebraska. This role involves creating an engaging and positive environment for residents through various activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This position offers flexible weekday hours, totaling 32 hours a week.
Key Responsibilities:
-Implement and maintain facility policies and procedures.
-Supervise and support Activities staff, including scheduling and delegation.
-Maintain accurate records of activities, inventory, resident participation, and documentation.
-Coordinate with other departments regarding resident needs.
-Plan and facilitate engaging activities that promote well-being and quality of life.
-Transport residents safely to and from activities; operate facility vehicles as needed.
-Attend resident care plan meetings and contribute to individual assessments and goals.
-Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance standards and complete required documentation.
-Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold residents' rights.
Qualifications:
CPR certification is recommended (may be obtained through the employer). Current (valid) Driver's License.
Skills and Attributes:
-Ability to interact with residents in both group and one-on-one settings.
-Strong communication skills to build rapport with residents, their families, and team members.
-A compassionate and patient demeanor with a passion for improving the lives of residents.
-Ability to perform light physical tasks, such as transporting residents and setting up activities.
