UNICEF is soliciting proposals from qualified individuals with experience in professional writing, editing and proofreading to support UNICEF Offices globally. This assignment will establish a Long-Term Agreement to deliver on a comprehensive range of writing and editing services.
Office of Emergency Programmes (EMOPS) seeks a writer/editor consultant to undertake writing, editing, reviewing, and editorial support for UNICEF humanitarian products. The consultant may write research/technical documents and edit materials across topics such as emergency preparedness and response, humanitarian access and protection for children, accountability to affected populations, humanitarian coordination, and the humanitarian-development nexus.
Deliverables include developing technical materials such as reports, research, strategy documents, case studies, briefing notes, and knowledge products, with editing after receipt of inputs from UNICEF HQ, RO, or COs.
Set up a Long-Term Agreement to facilitate UNICEF’s hiring of consultants for a range of writing and editing services. Tasks may include writing, rewriting, and editing EMOPS humanitarian products listed below.
Deliverables include writing content for reports and digital products following UNICEF Brand guidelines, editing for clarity and consistency, copy-editing to UNICEF standards, and proofreading. Initial drafts are subject to technical review and fact-checking. Note: UNICEF will award the LTA to the top ranked candidate.
Selection based on technical evaluation and financial offers (typical ratio e.g., 80:20). Criteria include motivation/fit, educational qualifications, work samples, and other sub-criteria with associated marks. Minimum technical score and financial evaluation will apply as defined by the procurement notice.
Include a separate financial proposal indicating daily professional fee and estimated days per category of deliverables in USD. Attachments must include a cover letter, three work samples with description of role, and the financial proposal. The application deadline is 03 Oct 2025 (midnight ET).
