Job summary

The position supports implementation of the General Plan and related ordinances. This requires a Bachelor's in planning or related field, and at least three years of municipal planning experience; a Master’s may substitute

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning, architecture or related field.
• Three years of municipal planning experience; a Master's degree may substitute for one year.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage planning projects.
• Experience with preparing staff reports and presenting to commissions or the public.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional planning work on complex current and long-range projects.
• Supervise other personnel in providing planning services.
• Coordinate and review planning applications including zone changes, annexations, and environmental reviews.
• Prepare reports and make presentations to decision-making bodies.
