Essential Functions
  1. Direct and supervise the work of assistants, rehab aides, and students in accordance with State and Federal guidelines.
  2. Follow all safety procedures to ensure personal protection and patient safety.
  3. Develop and implement treatment plans aimed at achieving optimal functional outcomes for patients, considering benefit and reimbursement levels.
  4. Complete documentation accurately, including evaluations, progress notes, summaries, or reports as required.
  5. Ensure compliance with the Physical Therapy code of ethics and State of California practice standards.
  6. Educate staff, healthcare professionals, and third-party payers on the benefits and outcomes of interventions.
  7. Participate in care plan meetings, rehab sessions, and family training to communicate patient progress.
  8. Attend continuing education seminars and workshops to stay updated on new clinical skills and techniques.
  9. Provide in-service training or educational presentations to enhance team knowledge.
  10. Maintain appropriate licensure, certification, and credentials.
  11. Submit billing, payroll, and expense reports promptly.
  12. Make appropriate referrals within the rehab team as needed.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and use safety equipment properly.
  14. Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors or upper management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current licensure or certification as per State guidelines.
  • CPR certification required.
  • At least 1 year of Physical Therapy experience preferred; experience in residential, assisted living, or skilled nursing facilities is a plus.
