Essential Functions
- Direct and supervise the work of assistants, rehab aides, and students in accordance with State and Federal guidelines.
- Follow all safety procedures to ensure personal protection and patient safety.
- Develop and implement treatment plans aimed at achieving optimal functional outcomes for patients, considering benefit and reimbursement levels.
- Complete documentation accurately, including evaluations, progress notes, summaries, or reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with the Physical Therapy code of ethics and State of California practice standards.
- Educate staff, healthcare professionals, and third-party payers on the benefits and outcomes of interventions.
- Participate in care plan meetings, rehab sessions, and family training to communicate patient progress.
- Attend continuing education seminars and workshops to stay updated on new clinical skills and techniques.
- Provide in-service training or educational presentations to enhance team knowledge.
- Maintain appropriate licensure, certification, and credentials.
- Submit billing, payroll, and expense reports promptly.
- Make appropriate referrals within the rehab team as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use safety equipment properly.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors or upper management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy; Master's degree preferred.
- Current licensure or certification as per State guidelines.
- CPR certification required.
- At least 1 year of Physical Therapy experience preferred; experience in residential, assisted living, or skilled nursing facilities is a plus.
