Job summary

Purolator is seeking a Unit Manager for the Montreal hub to supervise LTL pickup and ground transportation operations, including the night shift team. You will drive safety, engagement, and performance across a unionized workforce while ensuring adherence to operational standards.

You will coach employees, implement policies, and manage a range of reports to meet the organization’s objectives. English proficiency is required for frequent stakeholder communication within Purolator’s operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of operational experience in transportation/logistics/LTL.
• Experience coaching employees; unionized environment is a strong asset.
• Energetic leader with strong communication and motivation skills.
• Analytical and able to solve problems in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of job-related computer applications, including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise LTL pickup and ground transportation operations and night shift team.
• Lead and coach a group of unionized Class 1 Drivers, ensuring safety and engagement.
• Achieve objectives from the operational scorecard and monitor performance.
• Communicate policies and prepare reports and documents as required.
