Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and results-driven Logistics Transportation Manager with expertise in trucking, including LTL (Less Than Truckload), FTL (Full Truckload), and last-mile delivery. This role requires a strong network of supplier relationships and a deep understanding of the transportation industry. The Logistics Transportation Manager will play a critical role in optimizing transportation operations, managing supplier partnerships, and ensuring seamless delivery services for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily transportation operations, ensuring efficiency and timely delivery for LTL, FTL, and last-mile services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with trucking suppliers and transportation providers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable service.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with carriers and suppliers, focusing on cost savings and service improvements.
  • Monitor transportation performance metrics and implement strategies to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and innovation in operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align transportation strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Analyze data to identify transportation inefficiencies and implement actionable solutions.
  • Resolve transportation-related issues promptly and communicate updates to stakeholders effectively.
  • Lead and mentor a team of transportation coordinators or support staff to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in transportation management, specifically in trucking operations (LTL, FTL, last-mile).
  • Strong network and established relationships with transportation suppliers and carriers.
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, transportation regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Proven negotiation skills and ability to secure competitive supplier agreements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
