Logistics Transportation Import Specialist is responsible for managing container dispatch across all US regional warehouses, independently leading RFP processes for drayage and freight services and resolving complex freight, unloading-priority, and reporting issues. This role determines container movement based on cost efficiency and store inventory needs and mentors Jr. Staffs.
Freight Management
- Communicate with freight forwarder and manage Air/Ocean Fright scheduling across all regional warehouses
- Determine genset attachment requirements for RF containers, including non-standard cases
Unloading Priority Management
- Own the Unloading Priority List across all regional warehouses; resolve scheduling conflicts with truckers, warehouse, and 3rd party warehouse
- Oversee FDA release follow-up and empty container returns; resolve delays and escalations
- Monitor inbound container movement trends across the network and address recurring bottlenecks
Report
- Analyze Demurrage & Detention fees and present findings and cost-reduction recommendations to upper management
- Own the monthly Ocean Freight list reporting process
Experiences And Requirements
- Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree or above preferred
- Years of Experience 5+ years of experience in
- Operation/Distributions/Logistics/Transportation industry and RFP experience preferred
- Proficiency with computers, including MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of logistics, operations, food regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements
- Strong vendor negotiation and RFP management skills
- Advanced data analytics skills
- Efficient communication skills; self-starter
- Customs brokerage knowledge a plus

Work Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday ~ Friday
Salary Range: $65,000 ~ $90,000
Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors.
