Dow is seeking a Logistics- SS1 Logistics Operator to join the Site Services team in Croydon, PA. You will operate packaging lines, handle forklift tasks, receive materials, and support shipments in a union environment.

Role requires rotating shifts, compliance with safety standards, and ability to work with SAP and manual processes. The position starts at $20.25 hourly and offers comprehensive Dow benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a current, valid US driver’s license.
• Willing to work overtime and holidays as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.

About you

Site Services Department employees are a member of a shift-based and plant-wide team that provide support for the Bristol Sites manufacturing operation through the packaging and distribution of our products to meet Dow Coatings Business objectives in a safe, efficient, cost-effective and environmentally sound manner. Successful performance requires an individual to work effectively in an empowered, team-based, and ever-changing working environment.

Site Services Department personnel are expected to complete other tasks to ensure safe and effective operation of the plant, such as issuing work permits, conducting inspections, training, writing procedures, and supporting continuous improvement efforts through individual efforts and teams. The job also requires a high level of communication and interpersonal effectiveness in the frequent interactions with mechanics, activity coordinators and reactor operators. This position will work in a Union environment.

This position works in a Union environment and the pay starts at $20.25 hourly.

Responsibilities:

• Operating drum and tote packaging lines

• Routine non-craft maintenance
• Performing complete housekeeping duties
• Meeting regulatory requirements

Required qualifications

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have a current, valid US drivers license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of forklift experience preferred.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, chemical or similar is preferred.

Physical Demands:

Willing and able to meet physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:

• Must be willing and able to work in such environments wearing safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes.
• Must be willing and able to use respirators.
• Must be willing and able to work in such environments with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Must be willing and able to work in such environments working in tight or closed-in spaces.
• Must be willing and able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing and able to climb stairs/ladders and working high off the ground.
• This role does involve elevated work greater than or equal to four feet above the ground.Must be able to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE), including harnesses with a total weight capacity of 300lbs.
