IES Communications is seeking an entry-level Technician I - Logistics to support shipping, receiving and inventory maintenance. The role involves packaging, labeling, cycle-counting, data entry into the inventory system, and equipment handling, with emphasis on 5S/Lean practices.

The position requires 2+ years in a warehouse setting, basic SAP/Spectrum knowledge, and proficiency with Windows/Office. Employee benefits include various insurance options and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
• Basic understanding of operating systems (SAP, Spectrum).
• Intermediate skill level using Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to use power tools.
• Physical agility to conduct warehouse inventory.
• Knowledge of 5S and Lean environments a plus.
• Must meet company minimum driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Properly package, label and tag warehouse inventory.
• Complete and log daily activities including receiving, shipping, stocking, tooling, auditing, issuing all materials and completing special assignments.
• Conduct cycle‑counts of inventory and manage daily log.
• Enter material into IES Inventory database.
• Load and unload goods and supplies and ensure proper handling of the same.
• Maintain warehouse quality by keeping track of all damaged inventory and reporting it in a timely manner.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
• Operate forklifts and company vehicles as required.
• Work in accordance with 5S organization and Lean principles.
• Efficiently carry out all task assignments.
