Job description

SUMMARY
This is a part-time position (18-24 hours per week) assisting with restocking ambulances and managing medical supplies.


PRIMARY JOB TASKS

  1. Maintaining equipment and vehicles utilized in providing EMS service
  2. Loading and unloading of supplies
  3. Maintaining adequate inventories of various supplies
  4. Assisting with invoice reconciliation of incoming medical supplies and other shipped items
  5. Restocking and cleaning ambulances
  6. Monitoring and replacing disposable items at posts
  7. Ability to complete all tasks in a safe, efficient, and professional manner
  8. Safely transporting equipment, supplies, paperwork and other materials as deemed necessary from one location to another.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of ambulances and area stations
  2. Function as a public relations representative when dealing with clients, facilities, agencies, etc.
  3. Receive, fill and place weekly supply orders
  4. Verify accuracy of shipments, track backorders
  5. Reconcile all order forms, packing slips, etc. and turn in daily
  6. Stock medical supplies and maintain cleanliness of supply room
  7. Order and stock supplies at area posts
  8. Lift and carry equipment and supplies to and from the posts and other locations as deemed necessary
  9. Retrieve and clean medical equipment from hospitals
  10. Clean and restock restrooms, vehicle wash areas, and crew areas
  11. Assist with cleaning of outside area around posts
  12. Responsible for adhering to all company policies and procedures
  13. Maintain strict patient confidentiality
  14. Follow LifeNet guidelines for customer service
  15. Drive in a safe, courteous, and public-oriented manner
  16. Complete daily vehicle check sheet for vehicles assigned to position
  17. Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of assigned unit(s)
  18. Report vehicle mechanical problems to Maintenance Department and Supervisor
  19. Perform other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age
  2. High school diploma or equivalent
  3. Current, valid driver’s license for state of residence
  4. Acceptable driving record
  5. Negative DOT drug screen
  6. Ability to pass LifeNet physical agility test
  7. Ability to maintain effective communication skills with clients, co-workers and interacting agencies
  8. Effective verbal and written communication skills
  9. Effective interpersonal skills
