Logistics Technician - 2nd Shift (Saturday - Tuesday)

Join us at SpaceX as a Logistics Technician - 2nd Shift (Saturday - Tuesday).

Responsibilities:

  • Handle and secure items safely with or without equipment.
  • Support flight vehicle transport tasks, including maintenance of transport equipment, procurement of consumables, and general mechanical maintenance.
  • Manage transport processes, hardware maintenance, and corrosion prevention programs.
  • Support operations for flight vehicles, including loading, securing, and transporting equipment and inventory.
  • Manage parts and materials, perform inventory counts, and verify received materials.
  • Determine shipment methods, route parts, and ensure outgoing shipments meet specifications.
  • Use electronic MRP systems for routing and tracking parts.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to ensure operational efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, material handling, or receiving inspection.
  • Experience operating forklifts, SkyTrak, heavy equipment, tractors, trailers, or cranes.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Over 5 years of forklift operation experience.
  • Class A CDL license.
  • Knowledge of MRP or ERP systems.
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronics fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, mechanical systems, and rigging.
  • Experience with fragile item packaging, heavy machinery operation, and reading blueprints.
  • Understanding of high-pressure systems and hazardous materials handling.

Additional Requirements:

  • Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform manual tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work with fumes, odors, and noise.
  • Up to 10% travel and availability for overtime and non-standard shifts.
