Job summary

CareFlite is seeking a Logistics Support Associate to assist with inventory, supply processing, and delivery coordination across service areas. You will help with storage, labeling, and restocking, while ensuring records are accurate and customer service standards are met.

The role involves following schedules, communicating supply needs, and supporting quality assurance initiatives under supervision. Training is provided with a rotating schedule at on-site Irving, TX.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18+ and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years in logistics or supply chain support preferred.
  • Basic EMS operations understanding preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with inventory tracking, testing compliance, and repair coordination.
  • Receive, process, and organize supply orders under supervision.
  • Store, label, and restock supplies to maintain efficiency.
  • Deliver and restock supplies across service areas per schedules.
  • Maintain records of supply movement and delivery confirmations.
  • Provide courteous, professional customer service to internal/external partners.
  • Assist with quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.

CareFlite is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit ambulance service sponsored by Baylor Scott & White Health, JPS Health Network, Methodist Health System, Parkland, and Texas Health Resources. CareFlite provides medical transport by helicopter, airplane, and ground ambulance, and non-medical transport via wheelchair van.

Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION

  • Supports the safe operation and readiness of medical equipment by assisting with inventory tracking, equipment testing compliance, and repair coordination in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as CareFlite Policies and Procedures.
  • Responsible for receiving, processing, and organizing supply orders under the direction of the Senior Manager
  • Assists in the proper storage, organization, and labeling of supplies and equipment to maintain an efficient logistics operation.
  • Participates in the delivery and restocking of supplies and equipment across service areas, following established delivery schedules and protocols.
  • Assists with inventory management tasks including counts, restocking, and documentation in collaboration with the Logistics Advisor and Senior Manager of Fleet and Logistics.
  • Communicates supply needs, order delays, or inventory concerns to the Logistics Advisor in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintains accurate records related to supply movement, delivery confirmations, and equipment tracking.
  • Provides courteous and professional customer service to internal departments and external partners during logistics operations.
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness of logistics areas, storage units, and delivery vehicles.
  • Demonstrates time management by completing assigned tasks within expected timeframes with minimal supervision.
  • Shows flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities or urgent logistics needs as directed by supervisory staff.
  • Participates in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives under the guidance of the Logistics Advisor or Senior Manager.
  • Reports any equipment or supply inefficiencies, delays, or safety concerns promptly to the Logistics Advisor.
  • Assists with ensuring all in-service vehicles are properly stocked, clean, and ready for mission deployment.
  • Adheres to all safety protocols and procedures during handling, storage, and transport of supplies and equipment.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Texas Class C driver’s license
  • Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written English
  • 1–2 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain support role preferred
  • Basic understanding of EMS operations and logistics needs preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately and efficiently
  • Ability to make decisions that impact individual responsibilities and workflow
  • Must be able to see, speak clearly, and interact with team members and customers
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods (up to 100% of time)
  • Requires ability to reach, bend, kneel, and maintain manual dexterity
  • Regularly required to lift and carry 70 pounds or more
  • Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures and bloodborne pathogens may occur
  • Must be dependable and capable of working independently once tasks are assigned

SCHEDULE

  • Training:Monday-Friday, 0700-1600
  • Schedule: Rotating evening schedule on weekdays, 1500-2300 hours, and every other Saturday/Sunday from 0800-1600 hours.

COMPENSATION

  • $14-$16/hour
