Job summary

Jobtailor in Houston, TX, seeks a Freight Brokerage Team Lead to supervise a small team and drive service excellence. You will coordinate freight movements, bid on contracts, and maintain strong customer relationships to win new business.

The role requires proven leadership in a 3+ person team, knowledge of TL/LTL, and familiarity with load boards, TMS, and EDI systems to optimize operations and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Preferred 3 years of freight brokerage or 3PL experience.
• Experience in customer service and sales.
• Minimum 2 years in a management role.
• Proven track record bidding and quoting RFP, RFQ, RFI and awarding contracts.

Requirements

• Preferred 3 years of experience in a freight brokerage or third-party logistics environment
• Preferred 3 years of experience in customer service and sales.
• Required minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role.
• Proven track record bidding and quoting RFP, RFQ, RFI and Awarding Contracts
• Proven track record on freight movements; monthly and annual volumes and revenues.
• Experience in managing a team of 3 or greater employees.
• Knowledgeable in over-the-road trucking (TL and LTL modes)
• Knowledgeable in Flatbed, Dry Van, Refrigerated, and Over-Dimensional freight.
• Knowledgeable on Load Boards (Truckstop and DAT)
• Knowledgeable in TMS and EDI systems
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
