Job summary

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 4a-12:30p; Rotating weekends and holidays

Summary

Responsible for sorting linen, packing linen exchange carts, filling linen orders, and wrapping surgical and other linen items as specified. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications

Required: Must be able to speak, read, write, perform basic math, and follow written and oral instructions. Must be able to use a handheld data collection device. Ability to interact effectively with various cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Physical Requirements

May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Ability to climb intermittently during the day. Ability to lift 50-100 pounds. Ability to push/pull 400-500 pounds with assistance equipment. Requires prolonged standing and repetitive motion. Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products. Requires exposure to continuous load noises. Possible exposure to adverse weather conditions.
