Overview

Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid.

Goldbelt Integrated Logistics Services (GbILS) provides four specific areas of expertise—Logistics Engineering, Measurement Sciences, Program Management, and Technical Support—serving the scientific, technical, and engineering needs of clients. GbILS values its innovative thinking and service-oriented team who provide services for a variety of federal government and commercial clients.

Summary:

The Logistics Supply Specialist II supports supply chain operations by managing inventory, coordinating the receipt and distribution of materials, and ensuring compliance with logistics procedures. This role requires mid-level experience and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Leads a diverse group performing a variety of logistics functions which are broad in nature and include warehousing, packaging, shipping, inventory control, requisitioning, and maintaining stock of supplies and equipment. Upon completion of each phase of the PDM process, this position will provide a detailed report of the hours expended while analyzing trend data to provide the Government with the necessary data to make business decisions.
  • Responsible for processing in/out transactions, issuing referrals, setting control degrees, making inquiries, tracking status, executing local purchases, reparable item process, responding to manager review actions, performing/supporting stockage level management and unserviceable assets management tasking, maintaining backup recovery files, tracking performance standards, tracking overdue shipment process, cataloging build process, parameters user maintenance, updating financial data, documenting demand process, maintaining document history, and maintaining/updating communications and interface with other logistics software systems.
  • Comprehends and interprets complex technical data.
  • May operate lightweight trucks and passenger carrying type vehicles.
  • Perform other Logistics Supply Specialist II duties as required.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient personal computer skills to include a strong working knowledge of standard Microsoft.
  • Office suite of products.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work in a multitasked environment.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent vocational training and Two (2) to Four (4) years related experience.
  • May substitute one-year military technical training in logistics and two years’ experience.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in using computers as part of a military or civilian retail / store / warehouse environment.
