Job summary

Skypace is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst, Customer Programs to produce scorecards, freight audit findings and business review packs for customer programs.

You will build monthly scorecards, track corrective actions and audit carrier invoices. The role requires 3+ years in logistics, strong Excel/BI/SQL skills, and clear written communication with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build monthly and quarterly scorecards for customer programs: schedule reliability, cycle time, charge exposure, invoice variance, records complete.
• Prepare business review packs with program managers and present the findings.
• Track corrective actions to closure.
• Audit carrier, drayage and partner invoices against rates and schedules.
• Quantify variances, support disputes and report recoveries.
• Monitor free time, demurrage and detention exposure and flag containers at risk.
• Classify exceptions by cause code and identify recurring root causes.
• Build and maintain dashboards in a BI tool, with SQL or spreadsheets.

Pipeline role. Skypace interviews on a rolling basis and hires when a matching customer program is confirmed.

Skypace is the ocean freight division of Maxton Shipping Inc., an FMC-licensed NVOCC (OTI license 027662) headquartered in California. Skypace runs ocean freight and 4PL programs for 200+ organizations in 20+ countries, under commercial contracts with nine ocean carriers.

Shippers hold their logistics providers to data: schedule, charges, invoices, records. On the shipper side, supply chain and logistics analysts assemble those scorecards every month from carrier portals, spreadsheets and invoices. Because a program is only as credible as the numbers in its business review, Skypace keeps an analyst function inside its customer programs.

The Supply Chain Analyst, Customer Programs produces the scorecards, freight audit findings and business review packs for customer programs, from the shipment, charge and document records held in the Skypace platform.

Compensation: $65,000 to $85,000 base salary, plus an annual bonus.

Location: Fully remote. Candidates must be located in Texas or California.

Role Scorecard:

• Reporting calendar met: scorecards and review packs delivered on the agreed dates;
• Data completeness per shipment: milestones, charges and documents present;
• Invoice variance: value identified, disputed and recovered;
• Charge exposure: containers approaching free-time limits flagged before charges accrue;
• Exception root causes classified and closed, by cause code.

What You Will Do:

Scorecards and business reviews

• Build monthly and quarterly scorecards for customer programs: schedule reliability, cycle time, charge exposure, invoice variance, records complete;
• Prepare business review packs with program managers and present the findings;
• Track corrective actions to closure.
• Audit carrier, drayage and partner invoices against contract rates and accessorial schedules;
• Quantify variances, support disputes and report recoveries.

Exposure and exception analysis

• Monitor free time, demurrage and detention exposure and flag containers at risk;
• Classify exceptions by cause code and identify recurring root causes;
• Analyze carrier and lane performance against market schedule reliability figures.

Data and reporting

• Maintain data quality in shipment records: milestones, charges, documents;
• Build and maintain dashboards in a BI tool, with SQL or spreadsheet models where needed;
• Support customer bids with lane, volume and cost analysis.

Operational Interfaces:

• Customer side: supply chain and logistics analysts, procurement, accounts payable;
• Skypace side: program managers, operations, carrier procurement, finance, platform data team.

You're a Fit If:

• 3+ years as a supply chain, logistics or freight audit analyst at a shipper, 3PL or forwarder;
• Working knowledge of ocean freight data: milestones, service contracts, surcharges, free time, demurrage and detention;
• Advanced Excel, a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau, and SQL;
• Experience building carrier or vendor scorecards and business review material;
• Care for data quality and the habit of tracing a number back to its record;
• Clear written communication with operations, procurement and finance readers.

This role produces the numbers that customers and carriers are held to. A scorecard that traces every figure to a shipment record is what makes a business review useful.
