Qualifications

• Education must be from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education; transcript submission is required.
• Graduate education or a Ph.D. or equivalent may substitute for specialized experience.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-09 level is required for GS-11.

Responsibilities

• Research and resolve issues with material movement and shelf-life determinations.
• Write technical descriptions for stock item records and ordering data.
• Resolve quality deficiency and supply discrepancy reports.
• Screen supply and inventory requisitions using automated supply management systems.
• Determine interchangeability and substitutions of non-available items.
• Identify alternative sources of supply via procurement or manufacturing.
• Provide logistical support to other DLA Maritime shipyard sites as needed.
• Respond to inquiries regarding material procurement, repair and disposal.
