Job summary

Milo’s Tea Company in Spartanburg, SC, seeks a Logistics Supervisor to manage warehouse and shipping activities on a shift, coach a team, and drive safety, quality, and service. You will partner across functions to improve inventory management, labor productivity, and customer service.

Requirements include 3–5 years in distribution/warehouse roles and ERP/WMS/WES experience; a related bachelor's degree is preferred and supervisory responsibilities apply.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in Distribution / Warehouse or supply chain management role.
  • Food/beverage and/or CPG experience preferred.
  • Experience with ERP, WMS, and WES preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain a culture of safety on the floor and engage with team members across functions to identify opportunities and ensure training.
  • Ensure all team members follow standard work procedures for accurate inventory counts across all locations.
  • Develop and sustain staffing models to meet inbound and outbound shipment requirements and carriers.
  • Hire, train, develop, and grow hourly associates to meet customer expectations and financial targets.
  • This position has supervisory responsibilities and supports food safety and quality standards.

Position Summary

As a Logistics supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating activities for the warehouse and shipping departments for a given shift. You will coach, guide, and mentor a group of associates to create culture of safety, quality, and service. You will collaborate across departments and sites in an effort to drive continuous improvement within inventory management, labor productivity, and customer service activities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and sustain a culture of safety through regular presence on the floor, engaging with team members across functions to identify improvement opportunities, and ensure completion of all relevant training and observations
  • Ensure all team members follow standard work procedures that allow for accurate inventory counts across all raw materials and finished goods inventory locations
  • Develop and sustain staffing model meet inbound and outbound shipment requirements, while striving to remain a shipper of choice for carriers
  • Hire, train, develop, and grow team of hourly associates to exceed customer expectations and consistently deliver financial results
  • This position has responsibilities related to Food Safety and Quality
  • Other responsibilities, as necessary.
  • Supervisory: This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms, see, talk, and hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, stoop, or kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met or that an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
