Job summary

Valeo in Seymour, IN is seeking a Physical Flows Manager/Supervisor to lead site logistics operations. You will oversee newcomer induction, assess flex needs, and drive training for team autonomy.

You will monitor operator certification, manage daily issues such as absenteeism and safety, and coordinate with support departments to resolve logistics and production problems, escalating critical ones to the Site Supply Chain Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with high flexibility.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory/management experience in automotive or a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years in logistics operations, preferably at an automotive lighting manufacturer.

Responsibilities

• Induction of all newcomers in the perimeter (temporary employees included).
• Analyze flexibility and multi-skills needs of the logistic area and define training plans to develop team autonomy and improvement spirit.
• Monitor the certification process for each operator and update in real time flexibility grid.
• Manage daily situations: absenteeism, holidays, safety rules enforcement, environment risk analysis, communication & performance boards update.
• Perform weekly safety briefings and flash audits.
• Ensure respect for traffic rules with a focus on pedestrians where forklifts are operating.
• Work with APU support departments to sort out identified problems in logistics or production areas (line feeding) including external warehouses.
• Escalate to the Site Supply Chain Manager any problems likely to have a significant impact on the logistics activities.
• Handle other activities as directed by the Site Supply Chain Manager.
