Job summary

TAPCO (Traffic and Parking Control Co., LLC) seeks a Logistics Supervisor to oversee the shipping and delivery of domestic and international materials. You will coordinate with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, brokers and TAPCO personnel to ensure timely, accurate shipments and strong operational controls.

The role requires excellent organization, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team in managing logistics operations effectively.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree and/or 3+ years as Logistics/Transportation/Traffic Manager experience.
• Experience in planning, shipping, warehouse management and warehouse systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily routing and scheduling of inbound/outbound shipments.
• Coordinate with Purchasing & Planning for inbound deliveries.
• Ensure Transfer Sheets and PO receipts are completed and verified.
• Lead staff in logistics processes, train on procedures, and enforce safety guidelines.

The Logistics Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing the shipping and delivery of domestic & international materials. Maintain communication with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, custom brokers, TAPCO personnel, 3PL providers, brokers and others involved in the shipping and delivery of goods. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a Team In Managing Logistics Operations Effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Duties listed may vary in terms of importance and other duties may be added or eliminated as this position develops.
• Understanding planning, shipping, warehouse management and warehouse systems
• Manage daily routes/schedules of inbound and outbound shipments and tracks progress
• Coordinate with direct reports to review all outstanding and planned shipments
• Schedule inbound deliveries by coordinating with Purchasing & Planning
• Coordinate with the Warehouse supervisor on personnel workload and scheduling issues
• Ensure that Transfer Sheets and PO receipts are completed and verified
• Ensuring that procedures are completed in accordance with established Logistics and Transportation processes
• Ensures that all employees are aware of their job duties and are cross trained in any capacity that is necessary to aid in the development and growth of staff
• Observe employee's performance and trains in proper processes and standards
• Enforce safety guidelines and rules, OSHA requirements and all company policies within area
• Able to create graphs and PowerPoint presentations to communicate set Transportation Metrics Performs All Other Duties As Assigned Required
