Palmdale Oil is recruiting for a Logistics Specialist to join our team in Tampa. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a desire to work for a fast-paced, corporate organization. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing fuel delivery logistics, ensuring accurate inventory management, and supporting operational efficiency. The primary role includes using Skybitz Inventory Workbench to monitor truck inventories, prevent fuel losses, and ensure accurate billing. Additionally, the position will involve learning dispatch processes to provide support to logistics specialists.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and balance truck inventories using Skybitz Inventory Workbench to ensure precise fuel levels and billing accuracy.
  • Track and report fuel deliveries to prevent losses and maintain proper stock levels across all routes.
  • Collaborate with drivers and logistics specialists to optimize fuel delivery schedules and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide support to the dispatch team, learning operational processes to manage and coordinate fuel deliveries.
  • Monitor internal and delivery tank inventory levels using software such as SmartTank, Otodata, and Titan Cloud to maintain efficiency and prevent fuel loss.
  • Maintain accurate records of fuel dispatches and inventory adjustments.
  • Support the process for customer and internal facility tank supply inventories of bulk gasoline, diesel fuel, and biodiesel.
  • Assist in sourcing all order deliveries with contract supply partners.
  • Coordinate and communicate with drivers, sales, customers, and management to ensure proper expectations and information sharing.
  • Learn to reconcile Bill of Lading data to ensure delivery accuracy in SkyBitz Dispatch Planner and Inventory Workbench.
  • Assist in coordinating equipment inspections and tests at fuel supplier terminals.
  • Support the logistics team to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, maintaining professionalism in a dynamic environment.
  • Perform all duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience; degree preferred.
  • Previous logistics dispatch/scheduling experience in multi-compartment fuel tanker transportation is a plus.
  • Problem-solving skills under pressure, with independent judgment and discretion.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual in Spanish & English is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software.
  • Ability to work the required schedule.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures, noisy environments, and severe weather.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Sitting for extended periods, manual dexterity, and ability to travel as needed.
