Job Responsibilities

• Supports the care delivery process by performing care support activities.
• Assists with non-clinical activities required to support care delivery.
• Transports patients, belongings, and deceased individuals to and from departments.
• Prepares patients for transport in collaboration with floor staff, ensuring proper identification and I.D. band verification.
• Manages resources in assigned clinical areas, including procurement, transport, storage, and maintenance of supplies, equipment, and materials (excluding staff and controlled substances).
• Maintains knowledge of supplies, equipment, and services provided by Support Services.
• Supports data entry for performance metrics as required.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement, proposes solutions, and actively participates in process enhancements.
• Works as a team member to support clinical staff, mentors new staff, and delivers high-quality customer service.
• Ensures cleanliness and organization of supply rooms, storage areas, and patient rooms.
• Maintains a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations, including OSHA, Department of Health, and Joint Commission standards.

Compensation and Benefits

Geisinger offers a Logistics Specialist position with a $2,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, a minimum starting rate of $15.25 (with increases for experienced individuals), and up to $2 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Up to $40,000 in financial support is available for nursing education.

• Hiring Incentive: $2,500 sign-on bonus paid in two installments, with stipulations.
• Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
• Schedule: Includes weekends and holidays rotation.
