Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Supports the care delivery process by performing required care support activities.
2. Assists with non-clinical activities necessary for care delivery.
3. Transports patients, belongings, and deceased individuals to and from assigned departments.
4. Prepares patients for transport in collaboration with floor staff, ensuring proper identification and I.D. bands.
5. Manages resources in an assigned clinical area, including procurement, transport, storage, and maintenance of supplies, equipment, and medications (excluding Scheduled Controlled Substances as defined by the DEA).
6. Maintains current knowledge of supplies, equipment, services, and operations of Support Services departments.
7. Supports performance metrics through accurate data entry.
8. Identifies opportunities for improvement, proposes solutions, and actively participates in implementing process enhancements.
9. Contributes as a team member by supporting clinical staff, mentoring new staff, and providing excellent customer service.
10. Maintains cleanliness and organization in supply rooms, equipment storage, patient rooms, and other areas.
11. Ensures a safe environment by maintaining a neat and orderly workspace and adhering to safety regulations, including OSHA, Department of Health, and Joint Commission standards.

Benefits & Incentives

Geisinger offers a Logistics Specialist position with a $1,125 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, a minimum hourly rate of $15.25 (with increases for experience), up to $2 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts, and up to $40,000 in financial support for nursing education.

• Sign-on bonus: $1,125, paid in two installments, with stipulations.
• Hours: 7 am - 3:30 pm
• Schedule includes weekends and holidays rotation.
