SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Logistics Specialist proactively supports operations and customer support activities in their assigned area(s). Identifies critical items before they impact the completion of production and maintenance schedules. Provides customer support within the Supply Chain group.
Operation Support Representative Responsibilities:
- Issues kits, parts, and tools from the counter or to the production floor.
- Performs daily transfers of parts from internal jobs to support shop operations.
- Inspects flammable cabinets and partial racks for expired shelf-life items.
- Prepares stores and warehouse for live audits through internal inspections.
- Fills demand from production by pulling in-house requisitions.
- Puts away recapped BFG parts and materials.
- Retrieves off-unit parts from production, inspects, and routes to the warehouse.
- Processes incoming outside service parts, work orders, and paperwork.
- Returns parts and tools at the counter and reshelves them.
- Runs ERP In-Transit reports to verify issued items.
- Prepares outside service shipments.
- Attends daily operation meetings and addresses material questions.
- Supports operations by participating in daily meetings.
- Communicates with onsite customers to identify open demand requirements.
- Tracks and reports daily material status of incoming parts.
- Updates Gateway material reports.
- Researches and communicates purchasing requests with operations.
- Transports critical hot parts within the site as needed.
- Performs Logistic AOG vehicle runs upon immediate request from production.
- Monitors email requests from internal departments.
- Responds to daily inquiries about parts, tooling, and chemicals from production.
- Maintains current training on the company's Plateau platform.
