Job summary

TNS Inc. in Reston, VA is seeking a Logistics/Network Analyst to manage inventory security and accuracy. You will perform cycle counts, audit shipments, and document transactions while coordinating with purchasing, production and engineering.

The role requires RootStock knowledge and ITIL familiarity. You will also prepare reports for upper management, monitor databases, and ensure timely approvals of production steps.

Qualifications

• ItlL Foundations Certification or equivalent is required.
• Associates degree or higher in Logistics, Telecom services or IT Networking.
• 2+ years of experience in Asset and/or Logistical operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and reviews Remedy notifications and prepares pertinent reports.
• Completes limited scope projects within budget and scheduling constraints.
• Maintains databases housing inventory and routing information.
• Prepares sales orders in RootStock Financial Asset Management System.
• Plans, schedules, coordinates and approves production-cycle steps.
• Provides 24x7 emergency coverage to support network operations.

Ensures materials are ordered and in stock while maintaining acceptable inventory levels. Develops material schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering.ResponsibilitiesOverviewReporting Relationship: Reports to Manager Network Logistics & FulfillmentDepartment: Network Support ServicesPosition Summary:Ensures security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review. Develops and executes replenishment strategies; conducts physical inventories and leads cycle counts. Analyzes and, when able, corrects cycle count discrepancies.Audits incoming and outgoing shipments to assure quality and accuracy. Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
