About The Role

Uber Freight is looking for experienced Customer Service professionals with a background in Transportation, Supply Chain, or Logistics to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing transportation operations to ensure the accurate, timely, and cost-effective delivery of goods—while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule: 3 days in-office and 2 days remote each week.

What The Candidate Will Do

• Use the Transportation Management System (TMS) to its fullest potential in order to facilitate the life cycle of an order
• Exceed customer on time pick-up and delivery expectations
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers
• Effective and timely freight coverage and carrier selection through systemic routing guide and spot shipments including rate negotiation
• Leverage TMS to effectively route and consolidate orders considering best cost and transit options for all transportation modes
• Monitoring and resolving shipment data errors
• Proactive analysis to prevent service failures
• Proactively develop, recommend and implement cost savings and/or service improvement programs in support of the transportation strategy
• Professional and timely communications
• Identify patterns with shipper, receiver, and carrier performance and recommend actions for improvement
• Resolve carrier invoice discrepancies in TMS financials
• Train new customer and vendor users on the TMS, demonstrating knowledge of customer business practices and workflow
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations
• Problem solving/Critical thinking skills
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
• Basic understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) tools and Tableau reporting
• Advance proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
