Job summary

RXO, Inc. is seeking a logistics dispatcher to help schedule and coordinate drivers and equipment for daily transportation operations in Michigan. The role focuses on keeping shipments on time, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining clear communication with customers and internal teams.

The position requires at least 1 year of related experience, basic computer skills, and knowledge of the transportation industry. A flexible schedule, including possible weekends, is common in this role.

Qualifications

• Strong computer and data entry skills for scheduling and tracking shipments.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, coordinate and monitor drivers and equipment to ensure daily transportation operations run safely, efficiently and ontime.
• Assist in developing, planning and modifying daily schedules, and notify customer service about shipment status.
• Monitor shipments for on time, accurate and satisfactory deliveries and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Enter data into the transportation management system and generate required reports.
• Communicate with customers, employees and management to meet requirements.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Schedule, coordinate and monitor drivers and equipment to ensure daily transportation operations run safely, efficiently and ontime
• Assistin developing,planningandmodifyingdaily schedules, and notifying customer service and the operations manager about the status ofshipments
• Properlymonitorshipments for customers to ensure on time,accurateand satisfactory deliveries
• Troubleshoot and proactively resolve shipment discrepancies asneeded
• Enter data into the transportation management system, andmaintainand generate required reports; properly process, audit and file variousdocumentation
• Communicate with customers,employeesand the management team to ensure necessary requirements aremet

At a minimum you’ll need:

• 1 year of related experience
• General understanding or knowledge of the transportation industry
• Basic Computer Skills

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may includeweekends
• Experience in transportation planning
• Knowledge of shipping software (Oracle Transportation Management)
• The capability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructionsfurnishedin written, verbal or diagramformn written, verbal or diagram form
