Job summary

Placements24 in Welkom is seeking a reliable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to ensure accurate receipt of incoming goods and on-time processing of outbound shipments. You will manage logistics docs, operate warehouse equipment, and keep the receiving and shipping areas organized.

The role requires prior shipping/receiving experience, familiarity with WMS or similar software, and readiness to maintain safety standards in a busy warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Previous shipping/receiving experience in a warehouse environment.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts (certification a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and handling.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
• Accurately document all received goods using the company's inventory system.
• Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to specifications and carrier requirements.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area.
• Coordinate with carriers and internal departments to schedule pickups and deliveries.
