Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Shipping and Transportation Operator to join the Elkridge, MD shipping team. This 100% onsite role involves packaging, transportation, and sell-off of material for government and commercial contracts.

You will create deliveries in SAP, manage packaging, labeling, and loading while coordinating with manufacturing and QA to meet milestones. A Class A CDL and security clearance are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Creating and processing deliveries through SAP.
• Maintaining a clean and organize shipping workspace.
• Monitoring packaging material, inventory, and processing orders for replenishment material as needed.
• Packaging finished product to military standards (MIL-STD-2073).
• Creating labeling and markings for packages.
• Tracking progress towards contractual and on-time delivery milestones/goals.
• Keeping records of and reporting completed shipments.
• Moving material between locations using company vehicles weighing up to 26,000 lbs.
• Loading large materials and equipment onto trucks/trailers using forklifts and heavy equipment.
• Working closely with manufacturing, inspection, production control, and OPMs to support program goals.
