Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings in Newbern, TN is hiring a Warehouse Associate responsible for receiving, storing, preparing and shipping orders.

You will handle inbound/outbound freight, inventory counts, and ensure safety and accuracy; general facility upkeep and equipment operation; ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs frequently, and up to 100 lbs occasionally.

Must have a high school diploma and at least 6 months warehousing experience; RF technologies a plus; good math and counting skills.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math (add, subtract, divide, multiply) and write legibly.
• Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
• Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Responsibilities

• Inbound Freight: Count all products, compare to manifest and check all shipments for damage, infestation and production code dates.
• Storage: Maximize space usage and safely put away items onto racks.
• Order Picking: Ensure correct number and type of product is picked and transport orders to shipping locations.
• Outbound Freight: Compare quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct.
• Facility/Equipment: Maintain equipment and assigned areas in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
• Inventory: Keep accurate records and reports; assist in physical inventories and cycle counts.
