Job summary

Kroger is seeking a sanitation associate at the Chehalis distribution center to maintain all areas in line with sanitation guidelines and company values. You will model respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

Responsibilities include sweeping and mopping floors, using tuggers to clear debris, operating compactors and scrubbers, and maintaining office and racking areas. This role requires weekend work and overtime flexibility, with the ability to work any shift.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED with 1 month related experience or training, or equivalent combination.
• Ability to read simple words and write basic correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with American units of weight, volume and distance.
• Ability to follow detailed but uncomplicated instructions.
• Ability to handle a few concrete variables in standard situations.
• Minimum 18 years old and able to move with urgency.
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime; able to work any shift.
• Accurate work, strong attention to detail.

• Maintain office areas.

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

• High school education or general education degree (GED) plus one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using American units of weight, volume and distance measurement.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to work weekends on a regular basis.
• Ability to work overtime on an occasional basis.
• Ability to work any shift.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
